5 docs to boost your relationships and productivity
Saves time, creates systems and keeps you sane.
Happy Sunday, friends.
Thought to share something which has helped me grow personally (and helped business too) and most importantly kept me sane.
I've used these 5 docs over and over - they are free to create, super simple and useful.
I save these in my „important docs“ folder and have been updating all of them for probably last 5 + years.
And to be honest, I wish I started earlier.
Read till the end to see the details.
1. Networking meeting tracker.
I keep track of who I met, what we discussed, what we promised to follow up on and when we will meet next.
This was largely inspired by Laura Thompson story of how she managers her network.
2. Nice feedback doc.
When someone recognizes my work in a meaningful way, I paste the quote with their name and title into a doc. It was perfect for review conversations and job applications before, and now - for just a bad day.
I don‘t recall who suggested this, maybe it was a therapist, but this is really working.
3. Team A doc.
In the last 16 years I managed different teams, from 3 to 70+ people.
And some of these people are truly exceptional, every time I work with someone great, they go straight ahead to my Team A spreadsheet (with personal contact details).
This is how I get to work again with talented Sarag, Daniil, Regina and Maria.
4. My bio & story doc.
I maintain few half-pagers that talk about my career and journey as a real story. Each of different versions is aimed for
interviewing
client pitching
podcast/ public talk intros
and one with an AI spin.
It's a narrative, not a regurgitation of my Linkedin profile.
Dina Mostovaya told me once I had to be disciplined for pitching myself, so now I have a link for any jorno or conference request.
5. My process super base.
This is not one doc any more, but series of docs in Notion. From how to do competitor research to how we executed a successful webinar.
Every step recorded, so I can go back and check - what did I do?
It‘s a bit hard to start, but so helpful for day to day work + training my GPT.
My own invention from 2020, as my memory isn’t great.
These docs save me lots of time and keep my mindset focused on business.
I have a lot of growth goals for 2025 and Grow Global Tech GMBH, so tell me what l'm missing in my personal docs library!
